Children will love to make this donkey craft for Palm Sunday with a fuzzy mane and tail, clothes, palm branches.

Make-My-Own Palm Sunday Story Book - age 3+

Prep: Print and make copies onto white copy paper. Craft: Place blank sheets in between the first 3 pictures above. Collate pages in the order that the child wants, using two sheets of construction paper for the back and front for the cover, or one folded large sheet. Staple booklet together, and place tape over back of staples to avoid scratches. Have each child tell the story in their own words. It can just be a few sentences. Write each child's version of the story in their book. Help child think of a title. Write it on the Front cover. Children add Palm Sunday stickers on the blank pages and cover.

Fuzzy Palm Branch - Age 2+

Prep: Print craft page. Either copy Palm Branch craft page onto card
stock, or cut out (using outside line) and use as a pattern to trace and
cut out of green construction paper. Use inside line of same craft page as a pattern to cut out of felt or polar fleece. Option 2: Cut the palm branches out of construction paper. Craft: Children glue the small branch onto the larger shape and glue the word block on top. Ideas: Use for Palm Sunday parades or plays.

Option 1: Prep: Print sticker page and make copies onto regular paper. Teacher cuts them out. Craft: Children color stickers. Help children apply sticker glue. Allow to dry before sticking. Prep: Print craft pages. Make copies onto colored copy paper. You can also use hands and feet as patterns to trace and cut out of construction paper. Teacher cuts
out arms, legs and hosanna word block. Craft: Help children fold back corners of bottom of bag (for head shape) and glue down. Help children stuff wadded up plastic bags into paper bag, Fold up bottom corners, then fold up about 1" for the bottom of the Palm Character, and glue down. Children glue on arms, legs, eyes,
word block. Help children draw

Palm Sunday Touch-n-Feel Craft Pictures - Age 3+

Prep: Choose which of the four craft pages you would like your class to do. Print and make copies of the craft page/s that you want to use. Print one copy of the matching
Touch n' Feel Patterns. Cut out patterns, place on crinkled construction paper (for palm branches) or fabric (for clothes), trace and cut out. If using yarn for hair and donkey mane, tail, cut strips of yarn the appropriate lengths. If using polar fleece for hair and donkey mane, cut strips the appropriate length, about 1/4" thick. Thin strips of polar fleece will also stretch and curl up to make curly hair.. Craft: Children glue the palms and fabric pieces on the picture, and yarn for mane or hair.

Donkey Box Craft - Age 4 +, See instructions for age 2+

Adapt for ages 2-3 by drawing tail on donkey instead of using yarn. Prep: Print craft pages. Make copies of box craft pages onto card stock or copy paper. Use palm branch as a pattern. Cut out. Trace onto green construction paper and cut out. Craft: Children color box craft pages. Teacher cuts out box patterns. Teacher helps children fold box on dashed lines. Glue or tape sides together first, then bottom. Press firmly. When glue is set, fold top, inserting notches on back and front pieces into slots on side pieces.
